Edit layers and preview a stack
Configure layer materials and processes, reorder layers and inspect the stack.

Start from the current stack
Open Research Apps → Materials Synthesis. The current workbench supports perovskite PSC devices. The design area on the right displays the layer stack.
Check layer numbers from substrate to electrode, including material, role, thickness and fabrication method. Adapt the initial structure to your own research object.
Edit a layer
Open the edit action for the intended layer and verify its number. The editor includes:
Chinese interface. Keep parameters associated with their correct fabrication step; example values are not experimental instructions.
After completing the editor, check the change in the stack. Resolve required-field or format issues before continuing.
Add or rearrange layers
Use Add layer to create a functional layer and configure its material and parameters. Use the layer list's drag controls to change order, then recheck layer numbers and adjacent interfaces.
Before removing a layer, consider whether its function is still represented. Use the undo action for eligible edits. Save a case to retain a design for later use.
Inspect the 3D preview
Open 3D preview and compare the stack with the list. Look for missing, repeated or incorrectly ordered layers, then edit the corresponding layer.
The preview represents the design's layer relationships. It does not itself simulate efficiency or stability.
Discuss the edited design
In the conversation, identify the relevant layer, objective and constraints. For example: “Review the interfaces around the current absorber and first list missing process information.” See Materials Synthesis Design for questions and evidence use.
